Product Introduction
The following is an introduction to stainless steel solid welding wire 304:
Composition and Properties
• Chemical Composition: The main components are 18Cr-8Ni, with carbon content ≤0.06%, manganese content is 1.00%-2.50%, silicon content is 0.30%-0.65%, chromium content is 18.00%-20.00%, nickel content is 8.00%-11.00%, and phosphorus and sulphur content are both ≤0.030%.
• Performance Characteristics: Excellent corrosion resistance, capable of withstanding corrosion from atmospheric, freshwater, weak acid, alkali, and salt media; excellent weldability, stable arc, minimal spatter, aesthetically pleasing weld bead formation, and suitable for all-position welding; the deposited metal exhibits good crack resistance, with high strength and toughness.
Specifications and Applications
• Specifications: Common diameters include 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.2 mm, and 1.6 mm, with different diameters suitable for different weld thicknesses and current requirements.
• Applications: Widely used in the welding of components and containers such as tanks, pipes, and equipment in industries like food machinery, medical devices, fertiliser equipment, and textile machinery. It is also commonly used in architectural decoration fields, such as the welding of elevator panels and door/window frames.
Welding Process
• Shielding Gas: Pure argon (Ar) is used, with flow rate adjusted according to current intensity. For currents between 100-200A, the flow rate is 9-14L/min; for currents between 200-300A, the flow rate is 14-18L/min.
• Tungsten Electrode Extension Length and Arc Length: The tungsten electrode extension length is typically 3-5mm, with an arc length of 1-3mm.
