Designed for welding low-carbon steel structures, especially thin plates, small components, short intermittent welds, and cover passes requiring a smooth surface, the E6013 is a rutile-type acidic covered electrode. It is AC/DC operable and can be used for all-position welding. The electrode offers excellent welding operability, stable arc burning, easy restriking, attractive bead appearance, and low spatter.
Key Features:
Rutile Acidic Coating with Excellent Operability – Key Advantage
The E6013 uses a rutile-type acidic coating that provides smooth operation, stable arc burning, and easy arc re-ignition. It can be used with either AC or DC power, giving flexibility in power source selection.
Smooth Bead Appearance and Low Spatter
The electrode produces a neat and smooth bead with low spatter. This makes it especially suitable for cover passes and visible welds where surface finish and appearance are important.
All-Position Welding Capability
It can perform all-position welding. This makes it suitable for thin plates, small parts, short welds, and intermittent welding operations.
Ideal for Thin Plate and Short Welds
Designed for low-carbon steel structures, it is particularly recommended for thin sheet, small components, and short intermittent welds, where controlled heat input and good surface appearance are required.
Acidic Rutile System for General Fabrication
The rutile acidic coating supports good general fabrication performance, including stable arc characteristics and easy handling for routine carbon steel welding.
