Product Introduction
Carbon steel flux-cored welding wire 71T typically refers to E71T-1, a commonly used gas-shielded flux-cored welding wire. The following is an introduction to this welding wire with a diameter of 1.6 mm:
• Standards Compliance: Complies with E71T-1 in AWS A5.20, E501T-1 in GB/T 10045-2001, and YFW-C50DR in JIS Z3313, among other standards.
• Performance Characteristics: This is a titanium dioxide-type CO₂ gas-shielded flux-cored welding wire with excellent welding process performance, a smooth and stable arc, minimal spatter, easy slag removal, and aesthetically pleasing weld bead formation. The weld metal undergoes micro-element toughening treatment, resulting in excellent low-temperature toughness, good crack resistance, and stable internal quality, making it suitable for all-position welding.
• Application Scope: Primarily used for welding structural components made of carbon steel and low-alloy structural steel with tensile strength ≥490 MPa, it is widely applied in the welding of important structures such as shipbuilding, mechanical manufacturing, pressure vessels, boilers, petroleum machinery, chemical machinery, and lifting machinery.
• Current range: During flat welding, the current range is generally 180–450 A. During upward vertical welding and overhead welding, the current range is typically 180–280 A. During downward vertical welding, the current can be around 250–300 A.
• Shielding gas: CO₂ gas is typically used as the shielding gas, though Ar+CO₂ mixed gas can also be used. The former is used for general structures, while the latter is used for critical structures.
