Specification
Standard: E71T-1
Diameter: 1.6mm
Shielding Gas: CO₂ (purity ≥99.95%) or Ar+CO₂ mixture
Gas Flow Rate: 20-25 L/min
Wire Stick-out: 15-25 mm
Preheat & Interpass Temp: 150°C ± 15°C
Working Principle
This wire operates on the CO2 gas-shielded welding (GMAW) principle. The electric arc melts the wire and the base metal, while the CO2 gas forms a protective shield that prevents atmospheric contamination of the molten weld pool. Simultaneously, the flux core within the wire decomposes, providing additional deoxidization, stabilizing the arc, and forming a slag cover that protects the solidifying weld metal and facilitates easy cleaning.
