Designed for welding steel pipes of corresponding strength grades and for ship, bridge, and other structural welding, the JL-E6011 is a cellulose potassium-type acidic covered electrode. It is usable with AC or DC and can perform all-position welding, including vertical-down welding. During downward welding, the molten metal and slag do not flow downward; the arc force is strong and penetration is deep. For root-pass welding, it can achieve single-sided welding with double-sided formation and high welding efficiency.
Key Features
Cellulose Potassium Coating for Vertical-Down Welding
The cellulose potassium coating supports vertical-down welding by helping control the molten pool and slag, preventing downward flow and maintaining a stable downward welding process.
AC/DC Dual Use
It can be used with either AC or DC power, providing flexibility for different welding power sources and jobsite conditions.
Deep Penetration and Strong Arc Force
The electrode offers strong arc force and deep penetration, making it suitable for root passes and structural joints that require reliable fusion.
Single-Sided Welding with Double-Sided Formation
For root-pass welding, it can achieve single-sided welding with double-sided formation, improving efficiency and reducing rework.
High Efficiency and All-Position Capability
The electrode is suitable for all-position welding, including vertical-down, and supports efficient pipeline, ship, and bridge fabrication.

Operating Notes
- Generally, the electrode does not require baking before welding. If it becomes damp, bake at 70–90°C for 1 h before use.
- Before welding, remove rust, oil, moisture, and other impurities from the workpiece.
- During welding, the electrode should not be woven excessively; the arc height should be appropriate.
