Product Introduction
YD256 is a CO₂ gas-shielded ordinary high-manganese type overlay welding flux-cored wire that complies with the GB/T 984 EDMn-A-16 standard and is equivalent to AWS A5.13 EFeMn-A. The following is a detailed introduction:
    • Specifications: Common diameters include 1.2 mm and 1.6 mm, typically packaged in 15 kg per box.
• Performance characteristics: The overlay layer metal is austenitic high-manganese steel, featuring work-hardening wear resistance. During welding, the arc is smooth and stable, with minimal spatter, resulting in aesthetically pleasing weld bead formation, easy slag removal, and excellent welding process performance.
    • Overlay layer hardness: HB ≥ 170.
• Application scope: Suitable for overlay welding on components subjected to severe abrasive wear under mild impact, such as coal mill rollers, chutes, and hoppers, as well as various crushers, high-manganese steel rails, switches, bulldozers, and other impact-prone, wear-susceptible areas requiring single- or multi-layer overlay welding.
    • Welding process: DC reverse polarity is used, with CO₂ gas flow typically between 20-25 L/min. The dry extension length of the welding wire should be controlled between 15-25 mm, and the interpass temperature is recommended to be maintained around 300°C.
